GorillazUn groupe pas comme les autres dans la mesure où il est virtuel. Initié par Jamie Hewlett et Damon Albarn dès 1998, époque à laquelle les deux fondateurs de Gorillaz vivent sous le même toit. En ces temps, le groupe portait le nom de Gorilla. Sous cette appellation, un premier titre intitulé « Ghost train » a été enregistré. Gorillaz naîtra trois ans plus tard et sortira un album éponyme dont la production a été assurée par Dan The Automator.Si le groupe de rock alternatif s’est ainsi démultiplié, c’est aussi sans doute pour montrer sa puissance fédératrice. Il n’a en effet pas été avare en termes de collaborations. Pas moins de vingt-cinq personnalités ont accepté de participer à Humanz dont Danny Brown,Pusha T, Anthony Hamilton ou encore Zebra Katz.
